Ranger NF or Factions
I have a proph ranger. I just got nightfall a week ago and am at the 2nd island. I just got factions today. Which of them would be more important for me to complete?

I would say Factions, it has some elites that you might need/want and i personally found it the easiest and Nightfall the most annoying. Another + is that Factions is easy to beat because it's not to long and the missions are pretty straight forward.

After you got a certain amount of heros, I would go to Factions, then back to NF when your done.
Good hero's to have are
Necros
Barrage pet rangers (trust me they can be worth it)
Monks
Paragon
Melee AI can be lacking...so i would just stick with the henchman you are given. Some people say MEsmers are good but Mine have yet to interrupt anything important. I think norgu and gwen hate me. Elementalists are ok but AoE can scatter and there are few builds that don't use AoE. Some can be earth warders or Searing flames eles.
Having a warrior with wild blow will help against the last boss. Having a necro as an MM will help almost anywhere in Factions. Having customizable monks is always a good thing since henchman can be lacking, and barrage pet rangers can be great damage dealers.
In short, grab a couple suggested heros before you go off into factions.

Grabbing the heroes is a good idea.
Get to nightfall and grab the warrior and monk then to Prophesies for the necro.
Then do factions for the elites and because it has some very high pointed missions to level up your heroes to 20th.
After that go with the flow, follow the path of most interest.

I would say Nightfall for its elites and heroes.

nightfall is more rewarding than factions i actually like factions alot more but nightfall will be giving you the option to open 12 hidden chest's (suprised no one tought about saying this) well this 12 chest i recomend you wait until you finish nightfall and once you do that you can collect all of the 12 treasure which will give you 20k+some gold weapons ,yeah factions is pretty easy and i find it pretty entertaining doing missions there nightfall is boring but at the end of it you will get the end game green item+20+gold/goddies imo

Since you've started it, play Nightfall through. Hopping back and forth through the campaigns can really kill the stories.
Nightfall has the heroes and the more useful elites (BHA is for Hard Mode).

I started in NF with my ranger as I like the look (didnt wanna start in proph as I hate pre). I went up to the point of MoW I had Olias already then hopped over to gwen for Livia then I started to actually go thru missions and beat all campaigns.
Also regardless of what campaign you start I'd suggest once at lvl 10 go to GWEN as it boosts to to lvl 20 but gives huge exp points for quest plus early elites; this is of course if you have GWEN.
